Gibralfaro Castle Tickets
Tickets for Castillo de Gibralfaro in Málaga can be purchased on site at the entrance of the castle or online via the official website. The price of the tickets is as follows:
- Normal price: € 3,50
- Reduced rate (for children from 6 to 16 years, students up to 26 years and pensioners): € 1.50
- Free admission for children under 6 years and disabled.
It is also possible to buy a combined ticket for Castillo de Gibralfaro and Alcazaba, another historic fortress in Málaga. The combined ticket costs €5.50 for adults and €2.75 for discounted fares.
You can buy tickets online in advance to avoid long lines at the entrance, especially during high season. Please note that tickets for Castillo de Gibralfaro and Alcazaba are separate and cannot be used on different days.
Elevator Castle of Gibralfaro
There is no lift available to go to Gibralfaro Castle in Málaga. The castle is located on a hill and can only be reached on foot via a steep road or a staircase with 214 steps. However, it is worth making the effort, because from the castle you have a beautiful view of the city and the coastline. For people who have difficulty climbing stairs, there is a resting place halfway up the stairs where you can rest. It is also possible to drive by car or taxi to the top of the hill, where you can park and walk the last part.
The Castillo de Gibralfaro is a popular attraction and can get busy during peak hours, especially in the summer months. The castle is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, and is closed on Mondays. It is a must-see attraction for anyone interested in the history and heritage of Malaga and Andalusia.
